The Centre for Civil and Political Rights participated in the human rights session for a social media leadership school.

The Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR-Centre) took part in the discussion with participants of SMM Jazz School on 29 June 2021. The meeting was organised in Almaty by Erkindik Qanaty (Wings of Freedom) - a leading Kazakh human rights NGO, within the EU-supported project titled “Leaders of Change”. Participants included civil activists, human rights defenders and guest speakers. Participants talked about how social media can be used to share human rights content and reach varying audiences.

The School will continue with sessions that will focus on human rights concepts, campaigning, data collection, communication strategies and other issues.
