Overview of the 110th session of the Human Rights Committee (March 2014)
At its 110th Session (10 to 28 March, 2014) the Human Rights Committee reviewed the reports of six States Parties – Kyrgyzstan, Sierra Leone, Latvia, United States, Chad and Nepal.
The Committee also adopted 9 Lists of issues on States parties on Ecuador, Malta, Montenegro, Sri Lanka, Romania, New Zealand, Sweden, Argentina and Haiti.
It considered 36 Individual Communications, finding 4 inadmissible, deciding 18 on the merits, and discontinuing consideration of 14.
Four meetings were devoted to the first reading of the Draft General Comment No. 35 on article 9 (Liberty and Security of Persons).
