According to the Victim or his/her Counsel:
06/2013 |
No steps were taken by the government to implement the UN Human Rights Committee’s decision. The State party rejects the suggestion to press charges against the prosecutors or members of the judiciary who handled the penal investigation that led to the discrepancies found by the Committee in its Views. According to the State party, providing the author with an adequate remedy does not imply the punishment of the persons involved in the preliminary investigation, but can only include adequate compensation as decided by a domestic tribunal. |
08/2013 |
The relevant misdemeanors became time-barred, and the perpetrators are shielded from prosecution. The only remaining remedy offered is compensation and prosecution of the judicial officials involved. |
01/2014 |
The State should offer adequate compensation without requesting the author to file lawsuits and to sanction the prosecutors involved in the case. |
