State reviews of Andorra, Canada, Chad, Republic of Moldova and Slovakia
The 144th session of the Human Rights Committee will be held from 2 to 19 March 2026. The Committee will review Andorra, Canada, Chad, Republic of Moldova and Slovakia. The dialogues will be public and it will be possible to follow in-person and online.
The Committee will also adopt the the List of Issues of Rwanda and the List of Issues prior to Reporting of Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cabo Verde, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hungary, Mexico, and Senegal.
The Committee will evaluate Botwswana, Cambodia, and Ukraine under the follow-up procedure to Concluding Observations.

Deadlines for submission of reports
The deadline to submit NGO written contributions (alternative reports) for the States parties under review is 15 September 2025.
The deadline for written contributions for the adoption of the List of Issues and List of Issues Prior to Reporting States is 18 August 2025.

NGO briefings
There are two kinds of briefings for NGO participation with the Human Rights Committee, which will be only for States under review:
Formal briefings: They are organized by the UN Secretariat, and participation will be in-person. To register, an email should be sent to Cherry Balmaceda (cherry.balmaceda@un.org) witha copy to the Secretariat’s generic email (ohchr-ccpr@un.org). The deadline to register for the briefings will be available soon.
Informal briefings: The CCPR Centre, in agreement with the Human Rights Committee's Secretariat, organizes informal NGO briefings. These briefings are open by invitation only and will be hybrid. To register, NGOs have to fill out an online form that is available here. The deadline to register for the briefings will also be available soon.
