State reviews of Guinea-Bissau, Kazakhstan, Latvia, North Macedonia, Spain and Viet Nam
The 144th session of the Human Rights Committee will be held from 23 June to 25 July 2025. The Committee will review Guinea-Bissau (never reviewed before!), Kazakhstan, Latvia, North Macedonia, Spain, and Viet Nam. The dialogues will be public and it will be possible to follow in-person and online.
The Committee will also adopt the List of Issues Prior to Reporting of Argentina, Australia, Bahamas (never reviewed before!), Denmark, Ghana, Liechtenstein, Morocco, Rwanda, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The Committee will also evaluate Armenia and Germany under the follow-up procedure to Concluding Observations.

Deadlines for submission of reports
The deadline to submit NGO written contributions (alternative reports) for the States parties under review is 26 May 2025.
The deadline for written contributions for the adoption of the List of Issues Prior to Reporting States is 28 April 2025.

NGO briefings
There are two kinds of briefings for NGO participation with the Human Rights Committee, which will be only for States under review:
Formal briefings: They are organized by the UN Secretariat, and participation will be in-person. To register, an email should be sent to Cherry Balmaceda (cherry.balmaceda@un.org) witha copy to the Secretariat’s generic email (ohchr-ccpr@un.org). The deadline to register for the briefings is 13 June 2025.
Informal briefings: The CCPR Centre, in agreement with the Human Rights Committee's Secretariat, organizes informal NGO briefings. These briefings are open by invitation only and will be hybrid. To register, NGOs have to fill out an online form that is available here. The deadline to register for the briefings is also 13 June 2025.
