State reviews of Ecuador, France, Greece, Iceland, Pakistan, and Türkiye
Human Rights Committee session 141st in Palais Wilson, Geneva
The 142nd session of the Human Rights Committee will be held from 14 October to 8 November 2024. The Committee will review Ecuador, France, Greece, Iceland, Pakistan, and Türkiye. The dialogues will be public and it will be possible to follow in-person and online.
The Committee will also adopt the List of Issues of Latvia and the List of Issues Prior to Reporting of Benin, Cameroon, Monaco, Poland, Slovenia, and South Africa.
No countries will be reviewed under the follow-up procedure to Concluding Observations since there are no more State reports submitted and available for review yet.

Deadlines for submission of reports
The deadline to submit NGO written contributions (alternative reports) for the States parties under review is 16 September 2024.
The deadline for written contributions for the adoption of List of Issues or List of Issues Prior to Reporting States is 19 August 2024.

NGO Briefings
There are two kinds of briefings for NGO participation with the Human Rights Committee:
Formal briefings: they are organized by the UN Secretariat and participation will be in-person. To register, an email should be sent to Cherry Balmaceda (cherry.balmaceda@un.org) with copy to the Secretariat’s generic email (ohchr-ccpr@un.org). The deadline to register for the briefings is 27 September 2024.
- Iceland and Pakistan: Monday 14 October 15.00h - 18.00h.
- Greece, France and Türkiye: Monday 21 October 10.00h - 13.00h.
- Ecuador: Monday 28 October 10.00h - 13.00h.
Informal briefings: CCPR Centre, in agreement with the Human Rights Committee's Secretariat, organizes informal NGO briefings. These briefings are open on invitation only and will be hybrid. To register, NGOs have to fill an online form available here. The deadline to register for the briefings is also 27 September 2024. The dates and times of the informal briefings will be avaible soon.
