State reviews of Ethiopia, Haiti, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua, Philippines and Russian Federation

The 136th session of the Human Rights Committee will be held from 10 October to 4 November 2022 The Committee will review Ethiopia, Haiti, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua, Philippines, and Russian Federation. The dialogue will be public and will be possible to follow in- person and online.
The Committee will also adopt the List of Issues in relation to Iran, Kuwait, and Venezuela.
The Committee will also evaluate Algeria, Angola, Bulgaria, and Vietnam under the follow-up procedure to Concluding Observations.

Deadlines for submission of reports
The deadline to submit NGO written contributions (alternative reports) for the adoption of list of issues is 15 August 2022, and for the States parties under review, 12 September 2022.

Informal Briefings
The NGO informal briefings for each State party under review are organised by the CCPR Centre, in agreement with the Human Rights Committee's Secretariat.
You can register for the informal briefings by filling in this form. The registration deadline is 23 September 2022. Dates and times of the briefings are as follows:
- Philippines: Monday 10 October at 14h00.
- Kyrgyzstan: Tuesday 11 October at 14h00.
- Haiti: Wednesday 12 October at 14h00.
- Japan: Thursday 13 October at 14h00.
- Ethiopia: Monday 17 October at 14h00.
- Nicaragua: Wednesday 19 October at 14h00.
- Russia: Thursday 20 October at 13h30 until 14h30.
For the List of issues the dates and times are the following:
- Iran: Tuesday 25 October at 09h00.
- Kuwait: Thursday 27 October at 09h00.
- Venezuela: Friday 28 October at 14h00.
