The UN Human Rights Committee – A Year in Review 2018
A comprehensive analysis of the findings of the UN Human Rights Committee in 2018
The Centre for Civil and Political Rights is thrilled to finally present our analysis of the 2018 activity of the UN Human Rights Committee. This work provides an overview of issues raised in the Concluding Observations and individual communications adopted in 2018, as well as a detailed examination of four thematic issues: freedom of religion, the right to peaceful assembly, the right to participate in public affairs and asylum seekers at risk for deportation.
"I am hopeful that this publication will further promote the work of our Committee in its efforts to monitor the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by the 173 States Parties which have ratified it."
